On Thursday our speaker for the lunchtime lecture was Theodora Miller. I know her personally, so it was really cool to hear her tell her story from an outside perspective. I love the story behind her art, and how she used it as an outlet for her feelings. Some of the pieces she showed in her presentation were ones I had actually seen before, so I really liked that I got the opportunity to learn more about them and their backstory. Seeing the way her art style evolved through different events in her life was fascinating, and her story is always so inspiring. I have actually been to a couple of the open houses she holds for her art, and so I enjoyed hearing about how she got to a place where she was able to hold those viewings. All in all, I really enjoyed hearing her speak and hearing her story again from a new perspective let me see her art in a different way and inspired me to express my feelings through art.
