Artist Copy Progress Post

Over the course of this week, I feel that I got a much better handle on the artist's mark. I now feel much more confident with it, although I think that it could still improve. Once I found the right media, the process got much easier. I am now using a 2B charcoal pencil, which is much better suited for this mark than the other types of charcoal I was using before. I think that what I need to focus on next is transitioning to some of the lighter areas of the drawing, which I especially need in preparation for my self portrait. I will continue to practice the mark at home so that it can be as accurate as possible for my self portrait.
