Artist Copy Progress Post

This week, I finished up the contour of my figure and started to actually apply the artist's mark. I did not make much progress because I started to struggle with replicating the mark when it actually came to recreating it on the figure. The original drawing was done in a charcoal that had a more grey tone, making it hard for me to guage values using the materials I had, which were all a much darker black. I also struggled with making the mark both light and quick. I am a little concerned about how well I will be able to apply this mark to my self-portrait.
